Riding Lessons
At Burnbank we offer a variety of qualified tuition to meet the needs of every rider no matter what their skill level or ambitions.
We have a selection of well-mannered and well-schooled horses of all shapes and sizes to suit all clients and help make their lesson an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Our professional instructor Lorraine Wilson has built up an excellent reputation over the years and has a series of structured half and full-hour group and private lessons to cater for all levels and riding disciplinesin our indoor or outdoor arena.
We start lessons from age 5 upwards and during the school holidays we run courses for children and adults as well as fun days etc.
Initially we suggest a 1/2 hour private lesson as an assessment as our group lessons are at many different levels and this enables us to decide the best group lesson for you to reach your full potential.
Group and private lesson take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am until 8pm as well as all day Saturday.

As of 16th June 2008 our lesson prices are listed below:
1/2 Hour Private lesson £21
1 Hour Private lesson £38
1/2 Hour Group lesson £15

For new clients we recommend that long trousers are worn as well as a long sleeved top. Suitable footware such as boots with a small heel are also neccesary. We have a variety of riding hats available for borrowing however we recommend that a riding hat, body protector, jodhpurs and riding boots should be purchased.
*Please note that as of the 16th June 2008 we will be enforcing a strict cancellation policy whereby clients will be required to give at least 24 hours notice before time of lesson, otherwise a cancellation charge of the full lesson price will be required upon next booking.
This is to ensure our ponies are not stood tacked-up for long periods of time when not required as this is unfair especially during the hotter summer months when they can be out in the field socialising and having a well-earned rest!
Please note we encourage the use of body protectors and riding hats must be worn at all times when riding and working around horses.
